A Little Pre-Halloween Tomfoolery

In the spirit of the day, here are some great shots of some MLB rookie hazing.
First here we have a few Cincinnatti Reds

Some of the hated Atlanta Braves

And finally, a few Pittsburgh Pirates - this just could be the best groupie repellent there is.

These are always fun to check out on google images if you have some spare time.

TTM Sucesses

This is the first of many posts I hope to put up of my various successes of requesting players signatures through the mail.

Don was a relief pitcher in the late 70's and 80's who spend most of his career with the California Angels and the Baltimore Orioles - Since I wasnt collecting in the 70's since my folks had not yet done the nasty to make me, these are cards from my first heyday in collecting. Don's best season came in 1986 with the O's when he had 34 saves and a 2.98 ERA. Those numbers today would make for a very rich man. Oh well, I'm sure he did well for himself.

So it begins - My first trade

Wow - am I really this bored?

For a while now I've been reading many baseball card blogs and its really inspired my to start up my own collection, as well as fill on the leftovers from my initial run before puberty and alcohol. I am a Mets fan and love trying to obtain signatures on my cards through the mail.

My goal is to post my successes here as well as review favorites from my collections, pack breaks when I get a few extra bucks, and just comment on my life in general.

Some stats -

27 years old
Married to a wonderful woman named Sarah
Looking forward to one day sharing this hobby with some little rugrats of my own.

I may post about other subjects, whether it be things I've seen/done... hopefully a few of you out there will be able to spend a few minutes here and share a few laughs with me.

In the meantime - I figure I would post my first trade offerings here going to Cliff @ Capewood's Collections.
